Bible Formation Class
Unveiling The Gospels
Level 1 Formation Course Description
Understanding the four Gospels in depth can often be challenging, especially reading them back-to-back. This course, however, goes beyond simply reading the Gospels. We'll delve into who the Gospel writers were, their unique audiences, their purposes in writing, and, most importantly, how each one presents a distinct view of Jesus.
St. Mark
Mark’s Gospel is the shortest with just 16 chapters, yet it’s packed with action. You'll explore its 18 miracles, uncover the significance behind seven key Aramaic phrases, and discover why Mark, writing for a pagan audience, emphasizes Jesus’ actions over his words.
St. Matthew
Matthew is the longest Gospel with 28 chapters and over 50 direct Old Testament references. Writing for Jews on the verge of conversion, Matthew sought to prove that Jesus was the promised Messiah. This Gospel highlights what Jesus says, with teachings presented in five key discourses, and often shows Jesus seated as He instructs.
St. Luke
St. John
Known for his background as a physician and artist, Luke presents a compassionate Jesus who reaches out to the poor, the sick, and the marginalized, with a special emphasis on women. Writing with a universal message of salvation, Luke’s Gospel shows a Jesus who is constantly on the move, symbolized in stories like the Walk to Emmaus.
Unlike the synoptic Gospels, John’s account is deeply theological and symbolic. You’ll dive into the richness of John’s Gospel by exploring concepts like the “Seven ‘I AM’ statements” and “Seven Key Relationships” of Jesus, discovering a unique and profound perspective on His divine nature.

Bonus: Studying Dei Verbum
We’ll also explore the Dogmatic Constitution Dei Verbum, enhancing our understanding of the Gospels through this essential Church document on Divine Revelation.

Discipleship Formation Program
Unveiling Exodus
Level 2 Formation Course Description
Through the unique perspectives of the four Evangelists, we gained a deeper understanding of the life and mission of Jesus Christ. With this foundation, we are now prepared to take the next step in our spiritual journey: exploring the story of Moses in Exodus.
In this second stage of formation, we will discover how God calls and equips imperfect people to lead His people from slavery to freedom, and how the life of Moses mirrors our own call — to lead, to trust, and to walk with God through life’s deserts.
Let us now embark on Level 2: Unveiling Exodus, ready to encounter the Moses within us — a leader, liberator, and friend of God.
This program immerses participants on a profound spiritual and leadership journey, walking alongside Moses through Exodus and the Pentateuch — the first five books of the Bible.
We will explore and reflect how God calls and equips imperfect people to fulfill His plan of deliverance, and how Moses’ struggles, weaknesses and challenges along with his faith, gifts and character reflect our own journey of growth as disciples, leaders, and friends of God.
